Theme 158.
This is Gizmo, Cassy's cat. He is a bit of a 'fraidy cat, even with the people he knows. He would edge closer to me, then bolt past me, if I blocked his way. After a day or so, he allowed me to rub his belly and fuss him. Then the rest of the party guests arrived for the weekend party, and Gizmo retreated to under Cassy's bed. It was to the point where when I approached, he hissed at me!
He reminded me of Gem and Jon's cat Izzy, both in looks (he was darker than her, but still grey tabby), long fluffy fur, fur tufts on his ears and between his toes, the scaredy cat-ness and the squeaky mew. They are long lost twins!
So yes - fear. It was going to be a photo of a python at Zoo Atlanta, but then I went with this. I adjusted the contrast levels a little, and unusually, used the auto sharpen - because I took the photo at night, in low light, I couldn't get a photo without some camera shake. The shake on this was minor, but anyway, I took what I could get!

Great picture of a beautiful cat.
Poor thing, he looks really in the edge!
Awww, that's a lovely picture of Gizmo! The best I've ever seen (and it captures his hysterical fear of 'others' perfectly.)
The 366 challenge is a great idea, will you come up with a new list for 2009? I´d love to join!
Very much like Izzy. The fear must be genetic to grey tabbies!
At first I thought it was Izzy. Fantastic picture!
