Theme 89.
I've seen a few faint rainbows this year, but one night as I got a lift home with a colleague, we had a really vivid one. I didn't get a good shot of it up in the sky, but as we came to a small roundabout to join the main B road, there was a small gap in the bushes (with trees behind), where you really could almost see the rainbow end - I've never seen that before!
As we approached the roundabout, I had my camera ready and I think the window open, and hoped that in the second I would have, I would get a good photo - it literally would be a second, as we swung round the roundabout... barely enough time to lock a focus point, let alone frame a shot.
Luckily, I got a decent shot. The trees are a little blurred as the camera panned (couldn't really be avoided, with the car driving), but you can see how vivid it was, and how close to the ground!

*Amazing!* We saw a similar thing om M3 about a year ago, we had been to Legoland and when we drove back home there was a really strong rainbow ending just by the roadside. It was constantly moving ahead of us *it was a lot of traffic* and C was very eager to get out of the car to fetch some gold!
Amazing Helen, I've never ever seen a rainbow other than in the sky. Good capture!
Awesome!

Very nice rainbow shot! I ike the blur, it somehow makes the rainbow stand out even more. Great photo!
great capture Helen. I've never found the end of a rainbow either. Did you get out and look for the pot of gold?
