Theme 365.
Going for an Ansel Adams style of photo here. I was in the forest taking mostly colour, but aiming for some black and whites too. Then I spotted this tree, very light bark and sunlit, in its own little space, and it just looked like the type of photo Adams would have taken, so I took a couple of photos. I really like it!

I like it as well, really works well in B&W - seems ghostly somehow or infrared (think that's the term for the effect I'm thinking of). Quite striking.
Another one burning the midnight oil on the blog :-)
Very nice! You've got a good eye for seeing good scenes for b&w.
(Agree with Linda - looks sort of like an infrared.)
The contrasting shades work really well.
Especially nice with your subject tree having its own space. Like the top framing with the branches of other trees.
Well spotted, it turned out very nicely in B&W. I somehow don't manage to get good B&W, but you always succeed!
Yes, Ansel surely would have approved :-)
It's a lovely picture, and turned out perfect in B&W.
Wow the lightness of the tree is really striking against the background - and not what you would expect. Love it :)
Gorgeous photos!! I've fallen so far off of the challenge. :( I clearly suck at it. But I LOVE your photos!!
