Theme 114.
Taken at the top of Montmartre, in front of the Sacré Cœur, overlooking Paris. I spotted this couple next to one of the viewfinders, and liked the way he had his arms around her - a close moment, but one which I could observe without worrying too much about invading their privacy (as you can't see their faces).
I have a horizontal one zoomed in a little which I prefer, but the girl's got her hand up as she was gesturing over something, and it's a bit odd, frozen in the air of the photo!
Edit - the light/tone isn't quite as I'd like it, but it's as is out of the camera, not tweaked at all. I tried adjusting the midtone contrast and deepening the shadows, but never got a result I liked. It was a bit grey and overcast at the time, hard to get pretty decent lighting from it.

I really enjoy this. The way his hands are locking her in his grasp really sets the mood. I like to imagine that perhaps her hand is touching his face (you know the whole sappy love scenes you see in movies - I'm a total sucker for stuff like that).
I think this is a perfect picture for the love theme. Beautifully done, Helen!
Oh, Helen, this is an absolutely beautiful composition, I LOVE this one. It really speaks to me and I love the contrasts in the photo.
Brilliant!
I just love this picture and I think it's going to be one of my favorites in this whole 366 project. Very well done! :smooch:
Awwww!
