142 - Leaf

Theme 245

Photobucket

A leaf on moss, on a tomb in the Cimitière Père Lachaise. I was trying for a few photos, most failed due to it being hard to lock a focus point on a moss strand [doh]. This was one of the more successful ones.

ETA - as Deb asked, I was there from about 3pm to just before 6pm. There was bright and direct sunshine at times, good light at others, and thanks to trees, sometimes more diffused light, as here.

Very successful... it's lovely. Beautiful soft tones and perfect DOF.

I too am fascinated by tombs and cemeteries. Morbid? No, just peaceful, and they make me reflect on life.

Fantastic detail and depth. You should print and frame that one!
