Theme 61.
Taken from outside the Sacre Coeur, at the top of the hill Monmartre. It was the first tiny hint of blue sky we had, which kept coming and going - the rest of the sky was grey, pale and a nightmare to photograph. So back to black and white it was, but even that turned out a little flat and washed out - so I darkened the shadows and contrast in Elements. Nothing more than compensating for the exposure (which I'd been able to do to a certain extent on the camera itself).
Anyhoo - a view over Paris. I might get the map out later and see if I can figure out what the fainter landmarks are in the distance. But it's late now (1:30am) and I fell asleep for over an hour, have now woken up, and need to get ready for bed :S

I think the "misty sky" enhances the photo. It's beautiful. Love the black and white.
Wow, this is really beautiful! You did a great job on the black & white.
If you don't stop posting gorgeous photos like this, I might have to end up sending you money. I'm a huge sucker for black and white cityscapes.
That is so lovely and "moody." This is another one that really shows off your photography skills!
I can see Les Invalides and Notre-Dame. :w00t: *sigh* What a beautiful picture. :lovely:
