Theme 127.
A statue in the Jardin des Tuileries (The Tilemakers' Garden) in Paris. It is "L'Homme et sa Misere", or "La Misere", designed by Jean-Baptiste Hugues (Marseille 1849 - Paris 1930), in marble, 1905-7. With the grey, overcast weather, I knew how he felt! (Hence the black and white for a lot of my Paris photos - they compensated for the grey weather much better).

Oh, yes! The soft black-and-white is perfect for this one! It almost makes me cry just looking at this sad soul.
Beautiful, the statue goes so nicely with the grey sky, catching the theme brilliantly.
You've captured this so well. He looks so real I feel that I should reach out and comfort him...
