110 - Dandelion

Theme 72.

Photobucket

A few weeks ago, I went out into the front garden to take photos of some flowers, and found a dandelion, which I also took photos of (trying to recreate the success I managed with a dandelion last year). I got some good shots, and the next day, Dad dug the garden over to plant new flowers and bushes [doh].

I couldn't choose which one I liked the best, from the photos - which is why I never posted for the theme. (Edit - I just looked at my Blog, and one of the ones from a few weeks ago is the centre photo on my banner)Good job too, as one night this week, I went out for a walk and to take some photos of the village. I only got just past the pub, when I saw a patch of grass behind it (at the crossroads) which had dozens and dozens of dandelions - some all blown away, some fully grey and fluffy, and many in between.

I took a lot of photos of various dandelions there, but this stuck out to me as my favourite of the bunch, right away! One I'm proud of. Sharp in the right places, soft on the very tips, softer still underneath, and the colours just right for me. So it made me happy ;-)

I love this one! The DOF is perfect and it makes it so much more interesting that it isn't complete. Great job and perfect in black and white...

:inlove: I forgot to take some b/w dandelion photos. It definitely accentuates the fragile structure of the flower. :lovely:

Great shot Helen - very delicately solid, if that makes any sense.

I had hoped to take a similar shot but we haven't even had a dandelion grow as yet!

I love the black and white of this one. Sometimes I forget about that old black and white.
