94 - Cow

Theme 204.

Photobucket

Spotted on top of one of the buildings in Borough Market, London. Well when you put it like that... cows do need to be loved too! The lighting was weird - overcast but with sunny breakthroughs. But it seemed funny and unusual enough to be good for the theme [lol].

It looks like something from the cow parade (google it) they did it in Manchester 4-5 years ago.

Loads of artists designed cows and they were scattered all around Manchester. As I recall Dave won a years supply of beer from solving the puzzle on a cow.

They were then all auctioned for charity.

Andy - I remember the Cow Parade - I think I even saw a few, when we visited Dave's! And you're right, it is similar.

Presumably this idea comes from the ones that were (I don't know if they are still there) in Chicago (I know about them from watching Oprah years ago). I really like them.

Oh that's funny, and great for the theme. It somehow reminds me of the cow that is the mascot for a chicken sandwich chain here in the US (Chik-fil-a). The cow is always painting a billboard that says, "Eat more chikin." (http://www.chick-fil-a.com/#thecows)
