Theme 254.
Everyone always notices the profile shot of Tower Bridge (looking at it sideways, as in up river). Google it and you will see the middle two tall towers, with ironwork curving up to them. But despite the number of people walking or driving over it, how many notice the two end arches, and how pretty they are? This is another one of my favourite London photos.
This one hasn't been Photoshopped, but I did darken it two shades in iPhoto. That's my sole concession to manipulating, and yes, I felt weird doing it. It was good on its own, but once I'd tried darkening it, the original then looked a little grey. Grrr.

This is a beautiful black and white. And, it's a view of the Tower Bridge that I hadn't seen before. Your tones look super to me, by the way...
Awesome picture! What a wonderful resource London is for your photo blog. You made good use of your time there.
Me! I'm actually not a fan of Tower Bridge in profile, it's a bit too ostentatious for me (same goes for the Houses of Parliament - that's also too jaggy for me(Gothic style? I've no clue about architecture.)), but I do like walking over Tower Bridge and looking up. Very nice photo!
You know, I used to be terrified of going over bridges when I was younger, now I get a kind of rush doing it. I feel like I'm out in the open and I'm free, especially if I'm walking over a bridge in a city.
Wow! Helen, I love this. Very dramatic and your composition is exceptional.
Great shot!
What a beautiful picture!
That is so beautiful. I've never seen the bridge from that angle. Too bad you couldn't stand in the middle of the road! But I do love the angle...

I like the seeing the different perspective - good for you! The B&W treatment works very well with it. Very nice!
What a nice photo. It makes me a bit "home sick" (I lived in London for almost 6 years, but moved a couple of years ago).
I haven't checked your site for a while and you really have a LOT of really nice new photos.
You shouldn't feel bad about adjusting the contrast, brightness or saturation of a photo. In the good old days that was what the work in the dark room was all about.
I think every good photo is worth a bit of attention and post processing to make it just right. However, I draw the line at actually altering the motif or the subject.
Beautiful photo!!
And yet again, another piece of beautiful architecture that makes me long for Europe!
