Theme 281.
One of the Household Cavalry, shortly after the changing of the guard, at Horseguards Parade. I got there just as they were changing the last time, so made an effort with this visit - and got rewarded by it raining [rolleyes]. There was me hunkered under an umbrella, for the actual changing, and then scooting over to the side colonnade bit, where one soldier goes to stand afterwards (long enough for photos, it seems).

You captured his essence very well... great shot considering all the reflection from his helmet, not to mention the rain.
Wow, I love the lighting in this photograph. I think that, more than anything, captures the royal air of this moment.
