Theme 73.
The Giant Sequoia tree in the National History Museum in London - a cross section of it is up against a wall on the top level of the blue area (in the big hall where the dinosaur skeleton is). It's also the next to the point where I took the Museum photo.
A close up of the history shows the historical events which are etched onto it (and which made me use the tree for this theme):

Very good idea for the history theme. The tree is beautiful too...
It's always interesting to note what is considered newsworthy when curators exhibit cross sections of giant trees. Here in California, we can boast about having the tallest, oldest and widest trees on the planet.
