A close up of the lucky cat which is part of a Japanese lacquered scroll - it was a graduation gift from my friend Andy (who does 12 of 12 as well). I'd gone to York for the day to visit him, and he's been carrying round a bag from The Japanese Shop most of the day. Part way through my visit, he handed the bag to me, explaining it was a gift for graduating from Uni - it was more of a surprise to give it part way through my visit! I've had it on my wardrobe door ever since - the cat is considered a lucky charm - you often see various versions of it in Chinese restaurants.
