Theme 143.
When visiting Gem, Jon and baby Will, we spent part of Saturday at a local farm where you could visit the exotic animals, and then stopped for a carvery meal at a place next to a reservoir called Newmillerdam. A lot of gulls were wheeling around in the air, albeit on the other side of a tree to me. If I'd walked round to the shore where they were, I'd have missed it. But somehow, the branches in the way work for me, anyway ;-)

That is a really nice shot, Helen. I like the branches in the foreground, too. Very nice in black and white...
You are absolutely right, the branches works so well in the foreground with the focus on the birds.
Stunning!
That is lovely. There's so much motion in it, and I agree that the foreground branches ADD to the composition.
Very pretty! Would have been a calming sight, I'd think. It's always funny when they all start flying at once.
Ohhh that's gorgeous! So much going on, but extremely simple. I love that there are so many birds in the shot, in so many different positions.
