A Pizza Express margherita pizza, which is half price in Tesco's right now! I like them as they have cheese cubes, so I can pick most of them off! (not a fan of melted cheese). YUMMY!
Yummy! These food themes are good! Funny thing is I had pizza tonight too, I got an M&S sundried tomato with mozarella and basil, which were on buy one get one half price and I ate the first one on Sunday - looks like photography and food go well together :0) Problem is I just ate mine and didn't photo it, looks like I'll have to have pizza again this year ;)
Well it's partly the smell of melted cheese, the appearance, the texture, the taste, seeing the fatty grease...
Whereas I don't get that with cheese sauce in the small amounts with lasagna (plus, pasta and tomato to help minimise it).
One of my Italian colleagues doesn't like it either. And she's Italian! (well Sardinian, some would define themselves as Sardinian first and Italian second!)
Beth - I like sauce, so it worked for me ;-). Besides, having had many pizzas in Italy, this had just as much sauce as those. Now I'm leery about having an NYC pizza :S
Maybe it was the angle of photo, because seriously, there wasn't excess sauce. Any less and it would have just dried into the pizza base!

Ohhhh that looks delicious. And you're so funny with your melted cheese.
Brody and I have a deep dish pizza from Chicago waiting for us in the freezer - but not until our stomachs are 100% healed so we can fully enjoy it!!

Nice composition, Helen. And yummy to boot!
You can give me your cheese, helen. I will not allow cheese to go to waste. It's a very tasty picture though!
No! Don't give Alli the cheese, give it to me!!!
On offer at Tesco? I'm going to have to investigate that one. Yum!
Wow. Um... WAY too much sauce for a Margherita pizza. It's supposed to be tomatoes, not sauce. Yucky!
